I.DIDN'T.LIKE.THE.VENUE!!!
I commend HeroCon's organizer because the event itself was great. However I don't know what got into their head when they chose A. Venue as the venue of the event.
I was relieved when they moved it from SM Marikina to another venue but I didn't know that they'll choose A. Venue. It would be better if they held it at SMX again.
COMMENTS:
THERE WERE LOTS OF BOOTHS! - Too many damn booths. The venue looked cramped because of the booths. No, I don't mean that the booths were waste of space. What I'm talking about here is that the booths were scattered, the layout of the booths made the event almost an epic fail.
THE STAGE WAS SCARY - Yeah it was when I saw how it was constructed. When we did our skit (Hunter X Hunter Group), I was afraid of jumping and throwing myself on the stage when we did our fight scene with Hisoka. I thought that the stage might collapse any minute. Aaaarggh!
COSPLAY AREA REGULATIONS - Why is it that cosplayers can't go back to the cosplay area after the cosplay catwalk? And why is it that some of the cosplayers can go in and out of the cosplay area?
VENUE - Did I say I didn't like the venue? Sucks. They should chose SMX. Really. It would be 100 times better if they chose SMX rather than this small mall.
GOOD THING:
Good thing is that I saw the cosplayer of Shinken Pink. When she removed her mask/helmet, I was like staring at a very cute ranger, she was pretty, she was cute, she was amazing and...and...and...enough. I just realized that she's my friend here in multiply! Haha!
Anyway, that's all. I'm lazy blogging now. Haha!

Problems With Some Students That I Noticed
I has been a month since I started teaching and I noticed some difficulties and problems that students experience in my subject.
First, they are reluctant to speak in English. It is so sad that only the star section is exerting their efforts on speaking the English language eventhough their grammar is incorrect. I admire that because at least they try. The rest are worst. Some of them cannot construct even a single sentence correctly. Now I started to think what happened to their previous years of studying English.
THE CAUSE: They are unwilling to learn English. I don't blame their teachers before because I know how much effort they have given just to teach these children how to speak English. I even heard a student of mine who said, "Bakit ako magi-English eh Pilipino ako?" I almost ticked when I heard that. I think that is a lame excuse not to learn and speak English. Well, try applying for a job speaking in Filipino, let's see if you'll get hired. Aren't they ashamed? In call centers, even the guards speak in English!
Second, they are bored and at the same time rowdy. Is it my fault? No. I try my best to teach them. I even think of different strategies just to make them happy and willing to learn. Their problem is that they are uninterested to learn. Like for example, each time I require them to do group work, they are like grade 1 students who'll just look at me witch such a clueless expression. I don't know if they understand what I say because it's in English. But some of them admitted that they don't understand what I say because I speak in English. Again, another disappointment. Who's to blame for all of these?
I don't go for lame excuses because if they really want to learn English, they'll have to work for it. English is the universal language and if they don't bother to learn it, they'll be left out...and that's what I don't want to happen to them.
I don't know, I'm just frustrated that they have reached this level with such low grasp of the language.

RANTS ni jhaymagician
RANT:
Kabuwisit. Nag-magic ako sa work ko. Grabe may mga tao talaga na ang sarap pawalain. Kainis talaga sila. Naalala ko nung pinag-perform ako sa harapan ng stage, initiation ba kumbaga para sa mga newly hired teachers, hindi cooperative yung nakuha kong volunteer. Badterp. Buti nga hindi ako tuluyang ipinahiya sa harapan eh. Siguro napahiya yun nung initiation niya kaya gumaganti. Good thing okay naman ang kinalabasan. Namangha yung ilan at yung iba eh walang reaksyon. Pano ba naman, on the spot yun. Plus mga *ehem*, may kaedaran na rin. Hehe! Pero badtrip ako sa kanya. Sana nag-LM na lang ako.

RANT 2:
Nung uwian na, pinag-magic ako ng mga hindi pa umuuwing teachers. Kabataan eh. Ewan ko, nakainom ata. I wished I did not perform to them. They were not appreciative and receptive sa magic. After that performance, I vowed to myself that I would NEVER EVER do magic for them again. Yung babae na minagican ko eh ok lang. Ang badtrip eh yung dalawa niyang kasama. Grabe sa pagka-heckler. Ewan ko kung kakausapin ko pa ulit yung lalakeng yon. Kainis kasi. Ang goal ata niya kaya pinag-magic ako eh para hulihin ako. Tssss, hindi man lang marunong maka-appreciate at mag-enjoy. Respeto na lang sana. Hindi porke't bago ako dun eh ganun na siya.

My Opinion About Step Up 2: The Streets
I just watched Step Up 2 this evening and I felt like I wasn't satisfied at all. I felt like there was something that lacked in the movie and I think it was the dancing.
Compared to You Got Served, IMO, Step Up 2 is more of a Step Down than a Step Up if you get what I mean. Despite its title The Streets, I didn't really see some street dancing or should I say I didn't really feel the spirit of street dancing.
One thing that I noticed was the song that they used in the movie. It was kind of like it's not fit into the dancing that they were doing. The beats of the songs that were used wasn't really that "dance-able". Their movements were fast and I felt like the song didn't catch up to their movements. It was like they were dancing without any music at all.
The only thing that I liked in the movie was the last part. Where they were dancing in the rain. It was cool, but again, it was not that super cool. There was something the lacked in it and I can't pinpoint what it is exactly. But I enjoyed the last part. Oh! And the main girl character Andie, she's hot!
FACT: I bought the CD because I want to see Jabbawockeez in action but heck, their exposure was minimal. And their dance in the movie SUCKED! I didn't see any movements. It was like they were statues powered by remote controls. But I expected that since they were just special guests.
Among Step Up 2: The Streets vs. You Got Served vs. Take the Lead, I would choose Take The Lead first, then You Got Served, followed by Step Up 2: The Streets.
BUT ANDIE IS H-O-T!!!

Gulatan ng Biglaang Pag-Hire Sa Akin. Biglaang Pagsabak sa Giyera ng Pagtuturo.
Grabe! I wasn't expecting this. Akala ko hindi na ako tanggap kasi hindi ako natawagan kahapon. Tas kaninang umaga nag-text na mag-report na daw ako sa Nuestra Sra. de Aranzazu Parochial School (buo yan!) for the interview.
Ayun, napatalon ako sa kama ko tas teleport papuntang banyo para maligo. Kumain lang ako ng konti tas alis na. Aba't hired na ako! Ininterbyu ako ng director then pinirmahan na nya yung application ko. Akalain niyo yun, start agad ako? Napasabak agad ako sa giyera! Biglaan kasi silanag nagpa-hire ng mga English teacher kasi biglaan ding umalis yung pinalitan ko papuntang Dubai. Ayun, biglaan din akong napaturo! Hahaha!
Unang klase, III-D. Ok naman sila. Siyempre first day ko pa lang, wala kaming ginawa. Ganun din sa iba pang mga section. Ang hindi ko lang na-meet eh yung III-E which is the star section. Yung pinalitan kong teacher eh yun yung advisory class niya. Mapupunta kaya sa akin? Sana wag naman. Yoko pa humawak ng advisory class. Ngarag ako nun sigurado.
Reaction? I'm still dumbfounded. Feeling ko nananaginip ako eh. Good thing is isa lang hawak ko, puro 3rd yr lang at walang halong ibang year. Madali na yun kahit na limang section ang hawak ko. At least isa lang ang preparation ko. Hoho!
How do I feel? I think I'm ready to handle these classes. Kahit na mahina ako sa grammar, I'll learn kasabay ng mga students ko. Haha!
Ok, so back from being a GTD: Great Teacher Dalida! Hohohoho! 
Yun nga lang, pag may convention na dated ng Sunday eh I might not attend anymore. Siyempre Lunes kinabukasan, may pasok na. Pero I'll try. Tatapusin ko yung mga activities ng Sabado pa lang para naman hindi hassle and I can go to conventions without any worries.
O siya siya, gulat pa rin ako eh. Haha! Ohmaygad! TITSER NA AKO!!!!!

Alternate Endings for Fairy Tales
I was just thinking about it this morning when I watched Matanglawin. There was a segment there in which they talked about Frog Prince. Did you know the alternate ending of this fairy tale which was made by the Grimm Brothers? The ending that they made was instead of the princess kissing the frog, the princess threw the frog on the wall so hard that the impact of it dispelled the witch's curse then the frog turned into a prince! Imagine that? The Grimm Brothers were so creative!
Anyway, I was pondering about making an alternate ending for these popular fairy tales. NO, I won't be re-writing (typing?) those tales again. I'll just put here the alternate endings on some fairy tales. Let's start with Cinderella
CINDERELLA
Real ending: The glass shoes fitted to Cinderella's feet.
Alternate ending: The glass didn't fit to Cinderella's feet because it was all swollen up. The reason for this was after the clock struck 12 midnight, she ran from the castle to their house without her shoes.
PIED PIPER of HAMELIN
Real ending: Pied Piper lured the children out of Hamelin and brought somewhere else and never to be found.
Alternate ending: Pied Piper lured the wives of men out of Hamelin and made them all his servants to a place where no one can find.
SLEEPING BEAUTY
Real ending: After a hundred years of sleeping, a prince came in to the castle and found the princess. She fell inlove with the princess and kissed her. The princess woke up and all the people in the castle woke up too. And they lived happily ever after.
Alternate ending: After a hundred years of sleeping, a prince came in to the castle and found the princess. She saw the princess but she ignored her because the castle was not his real destination and he was in a hurry. He rode his horse again to go and find his real destination and left the castle and never to come back again.
SNOW WHITE and the SEVEN DWARVES
Real Ending: After the dwarves trying to revive Snow White, they failed. The prince came by and fell inlove with Snow White. She was revived by the prince and they lived happily ever after.
Alternate ending: She refused to eat the apple and instead threw the apple to the old lady saying that it's a poison and she would die if she eats it. Because of the impact of the apple on the old lady's head, the old lady died because of internal bleeding. Then the prince passed by and found Snow White and they lived happily ever after.
