Bakit Mahirap Maging Artista? (Para Sa Mga Gustong Maging Artista)

Naisip ko lang kanina habang kumakain ako ng tinapay. Naisip ko na ang pag-aartista pala ang isa sa pinakamahirap na trabaho pagdating sa nature ng work. Opinyon ko lang naman. Ito ang mga dahilan.

Una, kadalasan ay lagi kang puyat or kung minalas-malas eh wala ka pang tulog.
Lalo na kapag sunod-sunod ang taping. Naku! Wala na. Siguro power nap na lang ang magagawa mo. Yung 10 mins. na tulog. Minsan ang pinakamahaba mong tulog ay apat na oras.

Oras ng trabaho.
Kung sa call center eh gabi ang pasok, at sa office eh umaga, sa mga artista, both. Kung saan matyempuhan ng eksena. Kung ang eksena eh gabi, for sure madaling araw yun ishu-shoot para walang mga pampam sa likod ng camera. Tapos nun konting pahinga lang, antay ng sikat ng araw para naman sa mga morning scenes. Yung mga eksena na litaw na yung araw. Tuloy-tuloy yun! Kawawa pa eh puyat na nga, nasisigawan pa pag hindi nakuha yung eksena ng maayos. Kakapikon kaya yun!

Wala kang privacy.
Alam naman natin na ang mga artista ay wala talagang privacy. Every move na gawin nila eh either nada-dyaryo or nati-TV. Lahat na. Tungkol sa pamilya, sa boypren, sa ginagawa, sa hobbies, sa mall na pinupuntahan, brand na suot, at kung anu-ano pa. Mahirap yung konting moves mo lang eh ginagawa nang tsismis. Sa babaeng artista, pag may kasamang lalakeng artista eh automatic sila na agad kahit na hindi naman. Sa lalake, pag may kasamang lalakeng artista eh girlfriend na niya agad kahit na hindi naman nanliligaw si lalake. Hirap nun di ba? Tapos madami pang made-up stories na talagang ikababaliw ng kawawang artista.

Dapat laging nakangiti at good-looking.
Ito ang pinakamahalaga na hindi dapat kinakalimutan ng mga artista o ng mga gustong mag-artista. Dapat lagi kang good-looking sa kahit ano mang oras. Kasi pag hindi, abangan mo ang picture mo na panget na pinagkakaguluhan sa internet. "Ito pala ang itsura niya pag walang make-up...ang panget!" Dapat lagi ka din nakangiti. Bawal mabugnot ang mga artista kasi kahit konting simangot lang nyan eh issue na agad kesyo sinungitan daw ang fans or blah blah. Kawawa naman talaga sila, laging nakangiti, parang baliw.

Bawal magreklamo.
Bawal. Bawal na bawal. Sa ibang trabaho ok lang mag-reklamo kasi hindi ka mawawalan ng trabaho. Sa artista, konting reklamo mo lang at marinig ng management, automatic, matatanggap mo ang pahinga mo na inaasam, yun nga lang, sobrang liit na ng chance mo na makabalik at kung minalas-malas ka eh hindi ka na makakabalik pa.

Madaming commitments. Sobra.
Madami talagang commitments ang mga artista, nandyan yung taping ng serye kung meron man, then after nun eh may commitment pa sila sa mga brand na suot nila (commercial), tapos nun may mga mall tour pa, tapos may sarili pang lakad. Oh, isipin mo na lang, kelangan talaga nila ng isang kahon ng Enervon para lang magawa nila lahat yun. Nakakapagod. Pero sabi ko nga sa itaas, bawal na bawal silang mag-reklamo kung ayaw nilang mawala sa sirkulasyon.

Walang holiday-holiday.
Tulad ng sa call center, wala silang holiday. Hangga't may taping eh nandon sila. Bawal umuwi. Ang di ko lang alam eh kung double pay din sila pag holiday. Siguro nga.

Plastikan.
Aminin man nila o hindi, karamihan sa kanila eh nakikipag-plastikan lang sa isa't-isa. Isipin mo na lang, siyempre pag nilabas nila ang tunay nilang feelings sa certain artista na yon eh automatic, piyesta na ang media. Gagatasan na nila ng gagatasan yung issue na yun hanggang sa isigaw na ng artistang involved ang, "OO NA! GALIT AKO SA KANYA! NAKIKIPAGPLASTIKAN LANG AKO! MAMAYA AABANGAN KO SIYA SA LABAS TAPOS ISU-SUPLEX KO SIYA SA BASURAHAN! GRAAAOOOOOOOWR!!!!!!"

Pagkalaos.
Ito ang ultimate fear ng mga celebrity, ang pagkalaos. Siyempre pag lagi kang nakikita sa TV eh may tendency na magsawa talaga sa'yo ang mga tao. Minsan kung gaano kabilis sumikat ang artista eh ganun din kabilis ang pagbagsak nila. Tsk tsk. Malungkot ang malaos, mahirap maka-move on. Tsk tsk.

Dapat may itsura ka.
Ang pinaka-importante sa lahat. Ang ibig kong sabihin dito eh dapat guwapo or maganda ka. Unless gusto mong malinya sa comedy or horror, ok lang kahit mukha ka lang normal or below normal na tao. Pero kung gusto mo talaga ng seryosohang akting kahit di ka gwapo eh galingan mo para mapansin ka. Pag nagtagal, guguwapo/gaganda ka rin kapag nagkapera ka.



Ewan ko kung may kulang pa sa itaas pero yan lang ang naisip ko. Kung kaya ninyong panindigan ang lahat ng iyan eh siguro sa pag-aartista ka nga talaga. Galingan na lang at pagsikapan para sumikat...at malaos balang araw. Hehehehe!

Cosplay Plans for 2010

I don't have any.

Haha! Kiddin'!

Well most of my plans are masked anime characters.

I have done Moonlight Knight and still gonna wear it on the next 2 or 3 conventions. Then what's next? I dunno. LOL!

I'm planning to cosplay KR but it's still a plan. Haha! If time (and budget) permits, I'm gonna go for KR Kiva (can I rent/buy your KR Kiva costume?) LOL!

How about Zechs from Gudam Wing? The mask is easy but his suit isn't. Rau Le'Cruest from Gundam Seed Destiny? Still the same as Zechs.

Oh I forgot, I'm gonna "borrow" Erwin's Ashura costume. I was planning that costume but it didn't push through because of...BUDGET! Haha!


So there, anime characters who wears a mask. Any recommendation? :D

My Kamen Rider Addiction

I just realized yesterday that I am so addicted to Kamen Rider series! OMG!

It's true. Eversince I watched Kamen Rider Decade, I got hooked into it that I started watching the nine previous Kamen Rider series. I remember yesterday when Francis (poklet) asked me if I don't want to watch anime anymore. Then I suddenly thought that, "Oo nga noh? Di na ako nakakapanood ng anime!" But it's ok since I'm so addicted to Kamen Rider as of now.

As far as I know, I got addicted to KR series because of its fighting and its CG effects. (tama ba yung term?) :D

So there. I have only watched three KR series so far; KR Decade, KR Kiva, and KR Den-O (yeah, I go backwards!) :D

Right now I am watching KR Faiz. Among the KR series that I have watched, KR Faiz has a great storyline, I think. But I like KR Den-O!

The Spirit of Christmas

Before anything else, I would like to greet everyone Merry Christmas! :)

Christmas is just a couple of hours away but are we ready for the birth of our Lord?

To tell you honestly I don't even feel that tomorrow is Christmas. Maybe because I was used to the "Christmas Spirit" where most of the houses have a lot of Christmas decors outside. I don't know if it's just only in our neighborhood or if it's nationwide, but most of the houses that I came across doesn't even have Christmas lights.

I know that because of poverty and huge electric bills but not even a Christmas lantern?!

Then I suddenly thought about the real spirit of Christmas, the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

If you browse my blog. you'll see a blog entitled, "It's CHRISTmas, Not SANTAmas!", you'll see there how most of the people who are Catholic, awaits the arrival of SANTA than our savior Jesus Christ.

It's not that I hate Santa, and I'm neither a fan of him. I was just disappointed about how Christmas is about for some people. I may be washing my hands here because I haven't even gone to a mass starting Dec. 16. But still, I acknowledge and believe that Christmas is for our Lord Jesus Christ and not about Santa.

Anyway, I'll just watch a mass later on television and pray.

Survey for MY Otaku Friends

I just want to ask since most of us are engrossed in watching anime in DVDs, do you still television? Or should I say do yo still watch TV programs aside from anime (supposing you watch anime on cable).

I'm a "Kapamilya" as well as a "Ka-shake" so obviously I watch shows from ABS-CBN and TV 5.

So how about you? :)

Stressed + Happiness = Streppiness!

I've never imagined I would experience stress in this job.

Heck yeah the job is easy. All I need to do is go to school every 7 AM (just like a student), teach 5 sections of 3rd year students, then go home at 4 PM...well, suppose to be 4 PM but I go home usually at around 5 or 5:30 PM.

The other day I had a check up because of what I was experiencing for the past 2 days, chest pain. I was afraid what it could be so I went for a check up. Luckily, it was just a result of stress, nothing bad about it (too bad that half of my 13th month pay literally just passed by my hands because of the fee I paid for that check up and for the ECG.)

So hooray! Nothing serious. Right now I'm going to be a health-conscious person just what I was like before.

Veggie mode again for me I guess. So that's it. I just wanted to share something. :)

Just early this afternoon while I was checking test papers, I suddenly thought of my ex-girlfriend. I don't know why every month, my memories of her comes back even though I don't think of her. Just what is happening to me? Time sure flies by, 3 years I guess and I still haven't found a new love. Hmmm...too busy for that. Hahaha! If ever I would court someone, I'm gonna go for a cosplayer so that we both have the same hobby. :)

HeroCon

I.DIDN'T.LIKE.THE.VENUE!!!

I commend HeroCon's organizer because the event itself was great. However I don't know what got into their head when they chose A. Venue as the venue of the event.

I was relieved when they moved it from SM Marikina to another venue but I didn't know that they'll choose A. Venue. It would be better if they held it at SMX again.

COMMENTS:

THERE WERE LOTS OF BOOTHS! - Too many damn booths. The venue looked cramped because of the booths. No, I don't mean that the booths were waste of space. What I'm talking about here is that the booths were scattered, the layout of the booths made the event almost an epic fail.

THE STAGE WAS SCARY - Yeah it was when I saw how it was constructed. When we did our skit (Hunter X Hunter Group), I was afraid of jumping and throwing myself on the stage when we did our fight scene with Hisoka. I thought that the stage might collapse any minute. Aaaarggh!

COSPLAY AREA REGULATIONS - Why is it that cosplayers can't go back to the cosplay area after the cosplay catwalk? And why is it that some of the cosplayers can go in and out of the cosplay area?

VENUE - Did I say I didn't like the venue? Sucks. They should chose SMX. Really. It would be 100 times better if they chose SMX rather than this small mall.


GOOD THING:

Good thing is that I saw the cosplayer of Shinken Pink. When she removed her mask/helmet, I was like staring at a very cute ranger, she was pretty, she was cute, she was amazing and...and...and...enough. I just realized that she's my friend here in multiply! Haha!


Anyway, that's all. I'm lazy blogging now. Haha!
